The School of Business Administration (SOBA) within Texas Wesleyan is partnering with the local Fort Worth community for a day of clean-up within the Polytechnic Heights neighborhood. In association with Poly-tech High School and the Boys and Girls Club of Fort Worth, this family-friendly event with begin April 2nd at 8:00 AM in front of the Armstrong-Mabee Business building, located next to the clock tower and will focus the cleaning effort on Rosedale extending to Sycamore Park.
As Texas Wesleyan celebrates its 125th anniversary in the Polytechnic Heights community and the SOBA wants to further develop a community connection with the families within the area, as this event is part of a larger effort by Texas Wesleyan to connect with the local community, and invest in the city of Fort Worth. A community garden project that will provide another opportunity for students and residents to meet is also underway.
Volunteers of all ages will be welcomed to help clean the community we all share. Refreshments and a free t-shirt will be provided to all volunteers, as well as plenty of smiles and high fives.
Come join this student-led effort to connect with each other as we improve our surroundings with the Cowtown clean-up and learn more about the future Polytechnic Heights Community Garden that will help to bridge the school and the neighborhood, as well as providing fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs to volunteers.
